Health care professionals are always seeking effective ways to gain a better understanding of a client’s current health status in order to build effective health care protocols. We now offer Hair Mineral Analysis by CanAlt Health Laboratories here at the dispensary as we believe that non-invasive testing methods can provide practitioners and patients with useful information about an individual’s overall health condition.
What is Hair Mineral Analysis?
Hair Mineral Analysis is an affordable screening test which can measure levels of up to 60 essential minerals and toxic metals. With the correct testing and interpretation a complete metabolic profile of the body can be created. The collection of hair is a simple and effective measure of testing as it represents a soft tissue of the body and is a storage and eliminative tissue.  As hair grows it forms a permanent record of the body’s nutritional deficiencies and excesses. According to a study completed by Dr. Lawrence Wilson, MD, a person’s hair actually contains a better indicator of the presence of more than 20 different minerals than a traditional blood test.
What Minerals and Toxins are tested?
The minerals screened include calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, copper, zinc, manganese, selenium, iron and cobalt. Toxic metals screened are lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, nickel and aluminum.
What can happen when you are mineral deficient or toxic loaded?
Various mineral imbalances inhibit the body’s ability to process and assimilate specific nutritional elements and frequently lead to metabolic dysfunctions before any physical symptoms manifest. Some health problems that may be associated with mineral imbalances or toxic metal excesses are ADD/ADHD, autism, allergies, Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety and depression, arthritis, arteriosclerosis, blood sugar imbalances, digestive disorders, headaches and migraines, hair loss, heart failure, hyperactivity, high blood pressure, inability to lose weight, infertility and miscarriage, insomnia, learning disabilities, lethargy and weakness, muscle weakness and catabolism, osteoporosis and Parkinson’s disease. When you have a mineral deficiency or when toxic substances are present it is important you take action by undergoing a suitable cleanse or take the right supplements for your needs. Here at Better Living we want to help our clients reach this goal by guiding them in the right direction when it comes to dealing with any sort of mineral imbalance.
What is the next step?
The process for obtaining and analyzing hair is simple. Better Living’s health professionals obtain a small hair sample from a variety of spots on the back of the head; please note that hair must not be chemically treated. The sample is then sent to CanAlt Health Laboratories for analysis. For more information on hair mineral analysis and CanAlt testing please contact our dispensary and speak with one of our qualified health care professionals.
