Live Blood Cell Analysis
As a Live Blood Cell Microscopist for the last year I have found using live blood cell analysis a very helpful assessment tool. My name is Nelia Amaral, and I am a Registered Nutritionist practicing at Better Living in Toronto (Etobicoke) who has been doing nutritional consulting for the last 5 years and decided to add Live Blood Cell Analysis to confirm and/or find the missing link that wouldn’t be picked up on a regular CBC (complete blood count) blood test. It’s been interesting to see how a blood reading could be so different between family members and what unique things have come up in the blood of those I have analyzed between the ages of seven years old to those in their seventies.
With live blood cell analysis just a drop of your blood extracted from your finger tip and examined under a darkfield microscope can tell a lot about your health. You get to see a living picture of your blood on a TV monitor/screen while the test is being conducted. Live blood cell analysis allows you to see compromised immunity and variety of other minor conditions even before symptoms appear.
What we look at:
- Red blood cells
- White blood cells
- Plasma (fluid part of blood in between the cells)
Live Blood Cell Analysis Can Show:

What to expect at your appointment:

Dry (Layered) Blood Cell Analysis
For an additional $25.00 we can conduct a dry blood cell analysis. The approximate time to complete the dry (layered) blood cell analysis is 10-15 minutes and it can be performed right after the live blood cell analysis.
Dry (layered) blood cell analysis is a screening tool that involves pricking the tip of your finger and dabbing the drop of blood with a microscope slide 8 times. The blood is then left to dry in the open air for up to 30 seconds and once dried it is placed under the microscope and magnified onto a high resolution TV monitor/screen showing various patterns.
Observed in the Dry Blood Cell Analysis:
- Inflammation, degeneration, toxicity of connective tissues and organs such as heart, lungs, breasts, liver, kidney, pancreas, prostate and ovaries
- Digestive and Adrenal stress
- Magnesium imbalance
- Heavy metal levels
- Free radical/oxidative stress
Live Blood Cell Analysis – $75.00 plus tax
Dry Blood Cell Analysis – $25.00 plus tax (when done in conjunction with the Live Blood Cell Analysis)
