Ear Candling (also known as âear coningâ) is a non-abrasive and painless treatment that removes old and impacted wax accumulated in the ear canal. A hollow cone created from unbleached fabric soaked in paraffin wax is burned above the eardrum. Meanwhile, the nutritionist does a gentle massage on the face, sinus cavities, and side of the neck for further drainage. Ear candling is a perfectly safe practice when done by a professional.
How does ear candling work?
One way is that the burning candle creates a vacuum effect, pulling out wax and debris.
The other way is that during the burning of the candle the wax heats up, melts and comes out of the ear over the next few days.
It is important to do both ears. As well, depending on how much wax, an extra candle or even two may be needed to empty an excessive amount.

Ear candling can improve the following:
- Clarity
- Hearing ability
- Sense of balance
Within 24 hours of an ear candling treatment, the body produces its own healthy, protective wax to rebalance naturally. It is suggested to drink more water and not to swim or shower within the 24 hours after the treatment to avoid getting water in the ears. If necessary, use a shower cap or insert earplugs. If it is windy or cold, outside, insert some cotton in the ears and keep it in until you are in a warmer environment.
Cost:
- Both ears (1 hour) – 85
- Each extra candle – 10
Enjoy a relaxing and safe treatment a good night sleep as after an ear candling one usually tends to have a deeper sleep that same night!
