Niacin CRT™ is a unique wax-matrix tablet, which utilizes the latest Controlled Release Technology (CRT). This technology delivers niacin in a continuous, controlled rate over a 6-8 hour period, throughout the tablet’s transit time in the bowel. Flushing sometimes happens with time-release niacin, as there can be fairly large surges of niacin released intermittently. However, flushing is less likely with controlled release niacin.
Ingredients:
Niacin (Nicotinic Acid): 500 mg
Non-medicinal ingredients:
Carnauba wax, magnesium stearate, silica gel, glyceryl tristearate.
Does not contain gluten.
Recommended dosage:
Adults: Take one tablet per day with a meal, or as directed by your health care practitioner.
Cautions:
Do not exceed the recommended dose except on the advice of a physician. People sensitive to nicotinic acid may experience flushing of the skin that is generally mild and transient.
